Soul Sister Dance Revolution, was founded in the sweltering summer of 2009 and is rocking the Dutch stages ever since, with their alternative indie rock. Desert rock influences by Queens of the Stone Age and Eagles of Death Metal and the grooving British sound of the Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian make Soul Sister Dance Revolution an energetic collective, with a distinctive sound. 2012 was entirely devoted to the recording of the debut album 'Playground Kids'. In October 2012 the first single 'Hold the Line' was released, which got major support on the Dutch national radio. A kick-start for Soul Sister Dance Revolution, that resulted in being voted 'Most promising act' at the 'The Hague Music City Awards'. 2013 started with a Bang for Soul Sister Dance Revolution. The band played a stunning show at the international 'Eurosonic/Noorderslag Festival' and got nominated 'Best Rock Band' at the 3FM Awards as the only newcomer among established bands. April 4th 2013, Soul Sister Dance Revolution presented their debut album 'Playground Kids' at a sold-out hometown gig. The album got raving reviews and after a blasting performance at the biggest talk show of the Dutch television 'Playground Kids' was topping the iTunes Alternative Charts.
